Officially last day of Internship

Today is the last day of my internship.. offiscially onli.. going back one wk later coz feel like wanting to complete the project.. anyway.. made 3 cards: one for Dr Sze, one for my supervisor, Yang Nan, and one for all the staff there.. zhihui made some cookies and cake for them.. Yang Nan and Shalini taught us how to dance too.. Yang Nan is good at it as she can shake her butt so naturally.. Me and Zhihui also sang a song for the staff and I sang an extra one for them.. Dr Sze also sang one for all of us.. her voice is good... can be a good singer..

Been in the lab for 6 weeks.. learnt things that I wanna learn during my poly time.. DNA work is fun and tk lesser time than protein work.. and most impt thing is, i no need to stay in 4 degree cold room to extract my DNA unlike extracting protein.. The steps for cloning is easy juz that u dun always get a result.. but once i get it, the type of happiness cannot be described.. Anyway, enjoyed the time in the "all girls" lab and the staff there are really nice ppl.. not forgetting the FYP student Jing Yin and the eureka student Foon Ying.. ^_^

Meet ying at nite for dinner as i need to go tk the spectacles in city hall.. At first, I can't find ying coz i forget tt she cut her hair.. but when I found her, I can't stop myself from laughing.. haha.. not tt is not pretty, juz tt i am too used to her pony tail since the first day i know her.. lol.. have dinner in BK.. can't remember when is the last time i ate BK.. after that, we went to Espanade to walk.. although is raining, but we still carry an umbrella.. haha.. took a few photos of the NDP stage.. the lighting is so nice..

Swiss Gathering

Went for a swiss gathering at Vivo Marche today.. Met up with Zixin and Han Yee first at 6pm and went for shopping at Zara coz is frist day of Zara sales.. Zixin bought a jeans while Han Yee bought a top.. Han Yee still said that she SHOULD NOT buy anything today, but in the end, she still cannot control herself.. -_-"

3 of us were early while the rest were quite late.. in the end, 3 of us, Jie Hui and Wei Juan decided to go in first as it was impossible to find a table for more than 20 ppl.. Today was the first time I went to Marche.. the atmospher was not bad juz tt the food dun worth the money.. 5 of us had a gd time catching up while the others slowly reached..

Surprisingly, really many of them wore Swiss uniform for the gathering.. SOme even went back to Swiss to buy the uniform juz for this gathering.. -_-".. ppl wearing school uniform are phy, ivy, geraldine, ee yeong, yi wei, xiang lin, yu lun, yi wei, teck lim, zheng yuan, bernard.. can't remember if there's anymore.. besides all those "students", there are Shao Wei, Eve, Eunice, Desmond, and of course 5 of us.. the guys looked the same except for ee yeong.. he is the onli guy in tt grp of "students" tt i keep in contact with, but he is also the one tt i can't recognise until jh told mi is him.. -_-".. Ee Yeong still ask mi y I never wear school uniform.. -_-"

Anyway.. Wei Juan was a sotong today.. Until today, then she know tt Zixin and Han Yee are not Singaporean.. had a good laugh at it.. Eunice is still the sweet lady and Zixin is becoming more and more pretty.. Xiang Lin is still the cute little boy and his face never seems to grow old.. Abit disappointed that Ah Kai is not there today.. very long never see him le.. hope that he is doing fine..

Still missed the time in Swiss.. all the fun we had and all the troubles we made.. I love Swiss still.. ^_^..

Dinner with NPS alumnis/Shopping and Virtuoso XIV/Lunch with family

Friday:
Went to orchard to meet qi, kuang, dj, diana, weiling, heng and jason for dinner.. that heng is really pro.. juz back to sg and come meet us liao.. -_-" dunno where he get so much energy from.. actually they planned to buy dinner and bring in to kbox to eat but i was too tired to join them for k, so we went to taka MOS burger to have dinner first..

Met Jiahao in MOS burger.. actually planned to phone him coz i know he is working in taka.. haha.. but juz nice.. he came to MOS to buy drinks for his colleague.. so good meh? haha.. he still the same lah.. always tt funny look.. same as when he was in sec sch..

Saturday:

Meet Jun at 12pm at city hall to shop.. Jun was there at 10am coz there was a MANGO sales going on.. so kiasu.. anyway, went to suntec subway to have our lunch before we start shopping.. bought a top and some earrings.. long time nv meet up with jun le.. she is becoming more n more like a career woman.. wow.. coZ she started her 8 to 5 working life le.. 2 yrs later will be my turn..

Meet Zhen and his two frenz for tea cum lunch at the Jap restaurant recommended by heng.. haha.. ordered the jap steamboat and grill sticks.. thanx for zhen's treat.. keke.. the food wa quite nice.. (Heng! gd recommendation..)and the price was quite reasonable.. after tt, went to swensen to have ice cream.. then i found out tt actually one of zhen's fren is from NP biotech.. juz tt we r in different sem.. the world is so so so small..

After tt, went to tanjong pagar MRT station to meet yy to the concert.. so happy to c so many alumis there.. wow.. is like a family gathering.. the concert was not bad as this time there are also combined performance by NP song composing club and dance club.. but the encore pieces made many alumnis faint.. haha.. coz is wat heng said: NPS anthem (canon in D).. haha.. mi, micheal and peiyu nearly fell off our seats when we heard tt.. wat a disappointment.. thought will be something better.. haha.. anyway, we took alot of photos during the interval in the VIP room.. haha.. somemore got different pose... keke.. and also took a NPS alumnis family photo at the end of the concert.. the number of alumnis is enough to play a game of soccer with reserve some more.. lol..

Anyway, thanx heng for the choco he bought in aussie.. but where is my kangaroo?

Sunday:

Went to a restaurant in Farrer Park to have lunch with my family and my bro's gf.. the food there was not bad.. quite nice.. long long time nv went to restaurant with my family le.. is a buffet lunch.. so we ordered quite alot.. oops.. mayb is coz tt we ordered alot, so when there were sme food tt was ordered but rejected by other customers, those waitress will keep coming to our table and ask if we like to have the dish.. haha.. the dessert was nice and the most funny thing is, the menu have a dessert called 汤圆，but it turned out to be 炸圆.. lol.. n the funniest thing is, we ordered two portion and it turned out to be two 炸圆on one plate, meaning tt each ppl onli get to eat one 炸圆.. lol.. anyway.. enjoyed the food alot.. ^_^

Cycling in East Coast

Went to East Coast to cycle with heng, jin wen, sio, tianle and heng's two colleagues.. noticed something? yes.. i am the onli ger there coz sarah PS mi.. sob..

Anyway, although i was late, there were still ppl later than mi.. so we started cycling at abt 6pm.. mi, sio, jin wen and tianle cycle while heng and his frenz roller blade.. heng was pro in his blade as he can catch up with us while we r cycling.. not bad sia.. we stopped at two jetty, one was bedok jetty, the other, i dunno wat name.. haha.. the breeze was so cooling.. not like daytime.. so hot.. haha.. anyway, we cycled till 8pm before we took sio's car to bugis to meet esther and dj for dinner..

On the way to bugis, i was suan by the guys.. -_-" all thanx to Mr Kong.. haiz.. and sio keep laughing and laughing.. i so poor thing..

We went to a restaurant opposite of bugis junction.. forget wat's the name of that restaurant.. the food there were nice.. shared a chicken chop with heng, dj and esther and some other finger food.. and also the big bowl of dessert.. lol.. here are some photos taken:

Shopping with Ying and Kath

Today meet Kath and Ying at Jurong East MRT station at 10am.. Yes! today we went shopping together.. we are kiasu so we wanna reach early and shop the whole day..

Reach city hall at around 11.. went to eat subway before we start our shopping.. our shopping destination was marina square and suntec.. did c some cheap stuffs but I never buy.. so we walk and walk from marina square to suntec.. bought a top in suntec IP zone..

After that, as usual, we went to coffee bean and have a drink.. haha.. kath and mi decided to ask tt "someone" out coz we wanna tk a look at him.. of course ying rejected our request at first.. but we grabbed ying's hp and sms.. lol.. and guessed wat? he say ok.. lol

So me and kath decided to give ying a big image change.. haha.. yes.. so we started to look for her outfit from suntec back to marina square.. so happy.. in marina PMK, i also bought a skirt.. so happy..

Met up with him in mac and have a good chat with him.. haha.. not a bad guy.. quite friendly and nice.. mi n kath were so happy.. kath went off early to meet her family for dinner while ying, mi and him went to a "restaurant" near national library for dinner.. the food there is so nice and cheap.. after dinner, we had a game of pool before heading home..

Time with ying and kath are always fun.. love them lots..

Dinner with Sebaz

Today meet Sebaz for dinner.. keke.. yes.. is his treat! haha.. we went to west coast recreation centre to eat Jack's Place..

I was suan by him once he saw mi till the end of the dinner.. wondering y like tt.. hai.. anyway.. actually juz wanna try Jack's Place steak but in the end, he ordered appetizer, salad, soup and dessert.. The soup that he ordered are lobster and mushroom soup.. I chose mushroom soup out of these two.. The soup was thick and taste ok.. the appetizer was mango with prawn (something like that) and the salad was chicken salad.. i like th appetizer.. the prawns are so dilicious with the sauce.. the salad was not bad juz thaT the portion was big.. I wonder wat happen to Sebaz tt day coz he ate on little.. so in the end, i finished up the salad (without mi knowing) while chatting with him..

Next up was the main course. I ordered the medium well ribeye and he ordered the mixed grill.. the steak was very nice, no wonder Jack's Place is famous in steak.. SEbaz cannot tahan the smell of tt lamb chop in his mixed grill, so he passed it to me.. k lah.. although got the smell, but it tasted good too.. I was proud of myself coz I finished up the two pieces of steak plus the lamb chop.. I have a big appetite when I am eating my food very very slowly and chatting at the same time.. As for dessert, I had my banana split while he, again, is mixed! this time round is mixed fruits.. haha.. his expression was so funny when he ate tt sour orange.. lol..

There was tis couple? or friends sitting beside us, they also tok alot.. I was there observing them, seeing how long they took to order and how long they took for soup and main course.. too bad, no time to finish the observation.. anyway.. I had a great time with Sebaz.. He is really such a nice ppl to chat with.. can chat anything under the sun.. hope to see ya soon.. ^_^..

Egg Wrapped Spagetti

Hmm.. I think many ppl heard before about fried rice wrapped in egg 蛋包饭.. so this morning I create Egg Wrapped Spagetti 蛋包意大利面.. lol.. yes yes.. here's the picture of the Egg Wrapped Spagetti..

Hmm.. it seems like before wrap looks nicer than after wrap.. lol.. coz the egg very ugly.. anyway.. on top of the egg, i add some honey.. sweet sweet.. can't c in the pic..

planned to wrap some ham and cheese to go along.. too bad, my house no cheese and ham.. out of stock.. anyone wanna help mi to replenish my stock? haha.. anyway, there are some improvements to make:

1) try to make the egg more "durable" by adding some flour..
2) spagetti should not be too much..
3) sauce is too plain, in future muz make the sauce test better..
4) make the surface of the egg looks nicer..
5) improve in decoration..

Haha.. overall quite happy with the result.. at least it taste good.. keke..

Human beings are weird.. I am weird..

Today is the day that the exam result is out.. I am really very very very surprised tt i get such a good result.. especially for my virology.. coz nv revise tt module consistantly after the common test.. and we had 3-4 days befor the paper.. however, I was having fever on the first day and the rest of the days were recovering period.. was not able to concentrate on the paper fully.. as for biochemistry, hehe.. happy with it..

Today is the last lesson of GV17.. hmm.. so fast.. half of my holidays is gone.. anyway.. i enjoyed this module alot.. really alot.. took alot of photos at the end of the lesson.. I must thank Leona for teaching us this module.. she is an excellent lecturer..

Went to Shi Jia's house awhile coz Wen Xi was late.. her house got HAMSTERS! oh my.. so cute.. haha.. and she got so many soft toys.. haha.. from what she said, i think her family members very cute.. what a cute family.. lol..

Met Wen Xi for dinner in Lot 1.. actually was a last min meet up coz no one accompany mi for dinner.. lol.. went to food court to eat.. I ate Kway Chap (Craving for that..) while he ate western food.. both of us chat alot.. from spec to lasik to 七年之痒 to marriage to divorce to studies.. lol.. thinking back.. dunno how we link up the topics.. haha.. anyway found out something from him that I nv know..was very shocking.. anyway, went to walk around Lot 1 awhile before we head home..

*Sometimes I didn't say, but that doesn't mean that I am OK.. I just don't want to say so much.. I just want to do something I like and comfortable to do.. I need respect too.. *

East Coast Cycling

Yes! Finally went to east coast park to cycle le.. of course.. i am going with ying, kath and raymond..

We took the train to Lavender and board a taxi down to east coast.. reached there at around 10.40 and head straight to the bicycle rental store.. dunno why now become so cheap.. rent one hour and free another hour.. so we chose our bike and started our cycling at 10.50.. we start cycling to the right but soon it reached a dead end and we have to turn back and cycle towards the direction of the east coast chalet.. It's so nice to be able to cycle.. haha.. i really love the feeling..

while we will cycling, we saw a big sand castle on the beach.. hmm.. muz be some event organised by dunno wat.. tt's y there's such a nice sand castle there.. however, i wonder how long can the sand castle stay coz think when the rain comes, everything will be gone.. but then, before it was gone, i took a few photos on it.. lol..

anyway, while cycling, the "gear belt" (it's tt the name?) came off.. luckily Raymond was there to help mi put it back.. think he is really pro on bike.. even help mi to pull my bike while i am cycling up the slope.. lol.. seriouly, he has become a very nice gentleman over the yrs.. from a naughty little boy to a gentleman.. good work boy.. gambatte.. End our cycling session at around 12.50.. had our lunch at the subway in east coast.. I ordered italian BMT.. nice one..

After lunch, took taxi to the temple in bugis.. coz very long nv go there le.. so is time to go there pray.. the temple is alwasys full of ppl.. every single day.. hmm.. so we have to squeeze ourselves though.. after tt, went to bugis junction to shop and saw that the i magazine was having an event there.. there are felicia, fiona xie and rui en.. haha.. mi n ying were more interested in felicia.. so took a couple of photos of her.. kath at last bought her bag too.. dunno y everytime she come out will say wanna buy bags.. no bag can go her house borrow.. haha.. AS USUAL, sat down at the coffee house (tis time is TCC) to tok and rest.. hmm.. our usual activity again.. anyway since all of them are tired so they went home first..

Met up with yy at 5pm at bugis coz he wanted to go to the spec shop i went to to make his spec.. ended he din make any and my spec was sent for repair.. have to go back there next week.. sianz.. so went for dinner before we head to suntec.. suddenly remember that Weichao works around there.. so we went to marina square and find him.. Kelvin was working him too.. hmm.. tok cock with him for while.. both of them are selling sony camera and video cam.. so in the end yy bought a camera from them at a very reasonable price.. 7.5 mega pixels cam and 2gb memory card at $405.. so cheap.. mi also xin dong.. haha.. but then, my bro bought the cam not long ago.. forget it..
